Traffic Manager/Import Coordinator (Up to 60K)

Established Importer requires an experience candidate with a proven track record, ability and skills to deal with suppliers, process customs documents and freight claims.

Knowledge of Trans-border and tracking shipment are very important.

Responsibilities are the following:

-Follow up with import shipments to ensure timely deliveries

-Handle import documents and maintain import files

-Daily communication with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders and custom brokers about the status of orders

-Communicate orders’ details to Overseas Makers

-Secure best rates and services for all means of transportation

Management of the Traffic import/export department

• Following up and monitoring shipments in transit
• Coordinating loading approval requests
• Liaison with customs and forwarders
• Must have extensive experience with US customs and managing US drop shipments

Coordination custom orders with the shipping department.

The successful candidate will utilize tracking reports to ensure all documentation is received, ensure master is received, and check shipping instructions against booking.

The candidate will contact customers with courtesy call, email and attempt to secure all missing documents.

Good PC, communications and collaborative skills are essential.

Visual 2000 knowledge is an asset.

You bring at least 5 years experience in similar position within an apparel importer.
