In-House sales Representative ($Open)

A successful Canadian wholesale and retail sportswear company, with several prominent brands, is looking for an in-house Sales Rep for its private label collections.  

The candidate must possess the ability to sell to large specialty stores and department stores.

He/she displays an excellent ability to work alone and to work as part of the merchandising team.

The candidate will report directly to the V.P. of Merchandising

Responsibilities:

  • Help select specific customers to approach for private label programs.
  • Follow up with existing private label customers.
  • Review and discuss private label projects with the V.P of merchandising.
  • Work directly with clients to ensure understanding of their needs.
  • Follow up with all aspects of the sales cycle for each of their customers.
  • Ensure that all orders are verified and entered properly.
  • Follow up with the production department to ensure quality and timely production of styles in production.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Computer skills including intermediate level excel and e-mail.
  • Must have existing contacts with various senior buyers and/or merchandiser managers in specialty stores and/or department stores.
  • Relevant experience in a similar position is a necessity.
