Many women, including myself, dress according to their mood, which often serves to explain why we can never, during our morning routine, pick one outfit and stick with it. It’s all relative to our state of mind, and we all know that our mind is an ever-changing component of our lives.

So what happens when you’re 20 kilometers from home and you suddenly realize you no longer feel your style du jour?

The April 20^th opening of the new Style Exchange at Le Faubourg (1608 St. Catherine W, corner Guy street) was fun and entertaining. It was actually like walking into a really pleasant dream: pretty clothes and shoes, and all you can eat candy everywhere you turn. Really, is there anything better?

Just a high-heel clad step away from Lola & Emily on Blvd St. Laurent is another clothing mecca that has recently made its way onto my Montreal Favorites List (which grows ever longer each time I step a thick winter-boot encased foot out my door - the heels will come soon, or so I keep telling myself - May? June, maybe?).

Thursday night, hundreds of fashionistas rushed to cram into suite 106 of the St-Laurent Très Chic Styling studio. The reason? A VIP soirée of champagne, hors d’oeuvre, and...bandages?
