The LBD Reinvented

The little black dress has been worn many times, many ways. It's the one clothing item every girl should own and can be worn over and over again. So how can you keep your ensemble looking fresh with just one dress? With a simple change of accessories. Keep reading.

Day to evening looks can be very simple with an LBD. During the day at the office, try a blazer in cobalt blue, wine red, or mustard yellow for a more trendy look worn over your dress. For a very wintery feel, make it a velours blazer. Adding accessories and the right clutch and heels will do wonders in transforming your LBD into a night look. Simple accessories for day, such as a pendant and a big ring, and then switching it up with big bold accessories for nighttime, like a big jeweled necklace and a shiny jewel encrusted ring clutch.

Make a statement with your shoes, especially to cut through the monochromatic look from the LBD. Contrast colored pumps in red (or that famous red sole) always makes a bold statement. My faves right now? All-over glittery shoes in gold – just want to eat them up!

Metallic studs are everywhere, from necklaces to bracelets, clutches and even iPhone cases. So make the most of it to compliment and add some edge to your LBD. Just don't overdo it. Stick to 2-3 studded accessories and your outfit will be stunning.

A faux fur stole, or jacket if you're feeling daring, in a neutral color will add oomph to your look with minimal effort. Pair it with long necklaces and you will look sophisticated and pulled together.

Adding a little glitz to your legs with glitter stockings - a unique way to shine without going crazy over the usual accessories. Not to mention it's especially perfect for this time of year, or that New Years party, all while keeping you fashionable, festive, and warm.

Tired of the same old LBD but want to minimize on accessories? There's a dress for that too. Black dresses with metallic gold cutouts are hot right now, or try a black all-over sequined LBD. The shiny festive fabric is perfect to ring in the New Year in style.

No matter how you wear the beloved LBD, rest assured that this dress will never go out of style. This is one staple you definitely need to keep readily in your closet, always.
