Cure for Cellulite?

Most women above the age of 30 years have some cellulite somewhere on their body. The reason I say '30' is because that's around when collagen production slows down, making our skin thinner and cellulite more noticeable. In addition, by then we have usually settled into jobs that require sitting at a desk, hence reducing circulation in the buttock and thigh area. You don’t have to be overweight to have cellulite. I see gym members, all the time, who are very thin and with cellulite.

It is important to realize that there is no magical solution to getting rid of these unwanted dimples. Not even the best diets will completely remove cellulite or improve the appearance. However, there are options that improve the sight of cellulite which I have listed below.

Basically, cellulite is fat that is localized in one or more area of the body. For most women it is the thighs and butt area. There are creams on the market which claim to visibly reduce the look of cellulite. Some argue that, if you combine these cellulite creams with over-the-counter retinoid creams, the retinoid has shown to stimulate collagen and increase effectiveness.

There is also endermologie which is a non-invasive treatment known also as LPG which was initially created by a French engineer to treat scar tissues resulting from bad accidents. I must say, I have had clients combine LPG with exercise and they have had good results. Treatments are easy and painless, however it is expensive, with just one session costing anywhere from $90-$120. One session is not enough, usually you need a series of sessions to have noticeable results. Furthermore, you have to keep in mind, the results are not permanent and an occasional “touch up” is required to maintain results.

As far as I am concerned there is no magic cure for cellulite. The simplest and cheapest way to combat it; is with good old fashion weight-training exercises such as squats and lunges, combined with a cardio program 3-4 times a week.

Below I have included a video clip of lower body workout, consisting of a compound set of squats and wall sit.

Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical
