Nail Color and Trends for Fall 2010

Couleurs de Beauté
Autumn...bright falling leaves and cool rain. So are the nail color trends this fall to be bright yellow, red? Or perhaps shimmering, like rain...gray? Not exactly...but could be. A review of fashion trends showed that, this fall, some past trends stay on. For example, metallic color is still good and relevant.  How some nail-styles have changed though!. The modernized French manicure for one.

Before we get there, let's start with the more straight forward one.

1. Cream Shades

Cream shades "a la naturelle" still beat all records as it did in summer 2010. Fans of natural hues can continue to enjoy it, as do many celebrities. The most fashionable colors: milk, beige, gray.

2. Modern French Manicure

Modern French manicure - how does that go? The classy and timeless design endures - the tip of the nail in a different color from that of the entire nail plate. In the classic version it usually is translucent varnish pastel shades as a base, crowned with a white tip.  Last season, designers combined light and dark tones, but this fall they decided to experiment and push it further. The result - streamlined French manicure. The main features of this trend are: combination of matte and pearl shades, combination of two bright colors. Can you say...creative, fun?

3. Nail Polish With Sparkles

And here is the absolute novelty of the season - nail polish with sparkles. To compensate for the fading fall sunlight we can now let the tips of our digits go bling-y!  Major trends: nail polish with monochromatic sparkles. In other words, nail polish with sparkles of "sand" of the same color.
