Miracle in a Bottle: Bio-Oil®

Couleurs de Beauté
Look what I stumbled on - a MIRACLE IN A BOTTLE (as I like to call it), also known by its real name - BIO OIL. Bio-Oil® is a specialist skincare product that claims to help lessen scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone. At first, I was skeptical about trying it out. Having oily skin, I thought, more oil on my skin? NO WAY its going to work.  I decided to give it a chance anyway and started using this product couple of months ago. Now, I have had acne scars since my teenage years....and what do I find since using the oil?

The scars have started disappearing! Unbelievable! Before I go on - let me be clear that I am not being paid to plug this product.

I did a little research to try find more about the ingredients: all the seemingly best oils are put together in this miracle in a bottle: Calendula oil, Lavender oil, Rosemary oil,Chamomile oil,PurCellin Oil™, Vitamin A,E!

Bio Oil

$12.99 for 60 ml and $21.99 for 125 m (  available at Pharmaprix/ Jean Coutu)

Its advanced formulation, containing the ingredient PurCellin Oil™, is claimed as effective in resolving other skin concerns, including aging and dehydrated skin. The product is also said to be suitable for all types of skin : dry, combination and even oily skin.

The benefits of using Bio-Oil are apparently numerous.

To visibly reduce appearance of:

  • Scars
  • Stretch marks
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Aging skin
  • Dehydrated skin

Based on my own experience, I think its a great product to try for different skin problems. Even without pre-existing skin conditions, as far as the ingredients go - this product is probably among the best things you can put on your face. For women AND men!
