I've profiled Michael a few times before, because I recognized his drive and his determination to bring his design dreams to life. So I was looking forward to see Michael Eardley launch his new Collection with REBIRTH ONE S/S 2013. Held at the very trendy Wunderbar at W Hotel in the heart of Montreal, the event drew many fashion lovers and turned out to be a success for this emerging designer.

My prep for this fashion week started with attention from Madonna’s (yes, you read right) make up artist. An auspicious kick-off, I think.

I’ve never done a facial, ever. So I must admit I was a bit apprehensive when Gina (apart from touring with Madonna, she has also worked with Anne Hathaway, Giselle Bundchen, Gwen Stefani, Justin Timberlake etc.) explained the non-invasive face care concept at the Bella clinique.

I’ve been lucky enough to meet with many Montreal Designers one-on-one. I remember one designer saying that he would walk all the way from the Plateau to Chabanel, after working at a full-time job, to save on bus fare. All this, while putting together a collection to show at Montreal Fashion Week. That's when I thought it would be awesome if we could come together to support the passion, dedication and creativity of our homegrown talent.

Since every fashion week-goer in Montreal has heard the name Telio, I thought it would be interesting for our readers to know a little more about this company. So here is some of what I learned during my conversation with co-owner Andre Telio when we discussed the story behind Telio and it's impact on Montreal's fashion scene and Montreal fashion designers.
