Credit is the lifeblood of your firm and drives your business and your relationship with your customers.  But it can also be your biggest challenge.  Too many companies ignore the risks involved in credit management, and fail to invest in building the capabilities of their managers.

This workshop will equip your senior managers with the knowledge and resources to understand financial reports and determine the credit worthiness of your customers.

The purpose of this workshop is to show participants how to reduce risk when credit is granted. It brings together the apparel industry knowledge and experience of the National Apparel Bureau with the expertise of the Credit Institute of Canada.  This workshop offers participants real world experience combined with sound professional development.

Through real life examples and hands-on exercises, participants will learn:

• Key factors in the analysis of financial statements
• Calculating and using financial ratios
• Strategies for obtaining financial information from private companies
• Testing for credit worthiness
• How to detect fraud in financial statements

In addition, issues related to insolvency will be addressed by an attorney specializing in insolvency  issues. There will also be a presentation on credit insurance and factoring.
