Covergirl/ Coverboy Update

Update: 17^th June 2010

We received an overwhelming response to our call for Photographers and MUAs for this project. It was tough narrowing down to just two from amongst all the talented folk we have in Montreal. We hope to keep in touch with those who we have corresponded with over the past few weeks and look forward to working with them on future projects.
On the home stretch now...introducing our super talented team for this our first covergirl/boy shoot:

Update: 1^st June 2010

As you’ll know we brought together the finest bunch of Montreal’s fashion lovers to select their ‘bests’ from an amazing pool of submissions. And here now are the final results, drum roll please…

Women
1^st place: Felicia Cohen
2^nd place: Christine Dallaire
3^rd place: Delvida Douglas

Men
1^st place: Marc Charles
2^nd place: Thomas Chamoux
3^rd place: Abdoulaye Sylla

Each of the above will be contacted individually in the order mentioned to meet with us, and we will go with the first one (photoshoot could include 2 models, depending on final storyboard) to accept the terms and availability required.

The other finalists will be automatically entered as finalists for the next photoshoot (details TBA). All other participants, we value your interest and enthusiasm so much, that if you are still interested, you will be entered to compete in our next photoshoot as well.

Update: 28th May 2010

So we came together to pick our finalists on Friday the 28th of May. Have to start by saying it was an absolute pleasure to meet with the panelists, they're warm-hearted and genuine, funny and entertaining, well dressed and professional, all while fashionably carrying a balanced head on their shoulders. A few couldn't make it due to scheduling conflicts, but we will surely make it up with them some other time.

It wasn't easy for the judges, given that we had so many amazing models to choose from, but they did their best and now we're almost there. Finalists will be announced on Tuesday June 1 2010. So stay close fans, readers, and contestants...the much awaited news is just around the corner.

Here's a list of our judges:

Audrée Archambault who has been writing her blog ElleMlaMode for a little over a year now, has developed a huge fan following and rightly so. Fashion, writing, and editing are her passions, which evidently she does it with great success.

Cindy Laverdière is a designer at San Francisco boutiques and shares her blog Modetrotter which originally began as an intimate journal. A year now and her fashion prowess continues to grow, while her fanbase continues to keep up.

Duc C. Nguyên, a designer by profession and fashion editor at Montreal State of Mind, keeps diligent tabs on all things happening in our city, he never fails to keep his fans informed and involved.

Melanie Clark, our very own B-Living lifestyle host, holds her own at her blog The Lifestyle Hub. You've got to stay tuned for her take on the latest trends, from fashion to television, movies to celebrities, happenings to luxury living, all with a perfectly fashionable twist.

Noelly Sam, a fashion reporter stays on the pulse at all times and her blog Miss-Sly is a reflection of her take on all things fashion. She is an event queen, and lets nothing slip by without the stamp of her expert opinion

Patrick Gagné will take you on an adventure when you visit his blog JeSuisLaristocrate, view the latest trends in men's fashion and stay updated on good deals and discounts. He has a keen eye for men's fashion and one look at him will attest, he walks the walk.

Robyn Chalmers started her blog Fashionista514 as a way release her stress and share her creativity with the universe, what has become of it since is nothing short of pure splendour and delight...truly a fashion lovers goldmine.

Yussie Amiri & Joanna Turowetz, are two friends that hit it off on and off the web. Through their blog MontrealFashionMinds, they share their passion for fashion, in turn inspiring and connecting with fashion lovers all over the city.
